Clearing a duct route/cable |
Last modification: 04-12-2003 |
Through this screen a duct route or cable may be cleared. During clearing all points closer to each other than a given tolerance are removed; of three points that lie nearly (depending on a second tolerance) on one line the middle point will be removed as well.
This function is started from the "Change geography" screen by selecting a duct route or cable and choosing "Clear" with the right mouse-button from the list of objects.
You need to enter a "point distance tolerance". Of all points closer to each other than this tolerance one of those points will be removed. The tolerance you enter needs to be between 0.05 and 10 meters.
Secondly, you need to enter a "Nearly straight line tolerance". Of all combinations of three points that almost line up with a maximum deviation of the tolerance entered, measured in meters, the middle point is removed. The tolerance you enter needs to be between 0.005 and 2 meters.
Subsequently, you click the "Yes" button whereupon the position of the duct route or the cable is displayed in the geographical screen the way it will be after you perform the clearing you entered. You are asked whether you want to make the change permanent, and should you reply in the affirmative the change will be saved in the geography.
