Import OTDR files

Through this screen you may link OTDR-files to a frame position. This screen is called up from the "Maintain terminated fibers"function with the clip0561 button.

OTDR-files contain measurements regarding optical attenuation in fibers.

In this screen you may go to a certain directory on your own PC or on the network. The files in this directory are displayed. If necessary you may enter a filter, so that only those files complying with this filter are displayed.

In the grid, the files are displayed together with the time of their last modification.Next to this there are 2 columns in which you enter a tray and a position. With this tray and position you indicate which file needs to be linked with which fiber. The combination of tray and position must appear in the list of fibers in the underlying "Maintaining terminated fibers" screen. You may enter for more files a combination of tray and position.

If you now click the "Import" button the files will be copied to a certain location after which they will be linked with the fiber entered. Now, you may call up these files from the "Maintaining terminated fibers" screen. They will be displayed in the Windows application defined for this purpose.

You also have the possibility to link a number of positions in one go to a number of files. Firstly, click in the "Maintaining terminated fibers" screen on the first fiber which you wish to link to a file.Secondly, click the clip0561 button taking you back to this screen. Now click the file that needs to be linked to that first fiber. You also indicate how many files need to be linked to as many positions. Then you click the "Fill grid" button after which the Tray and Position will be filled with the correct values.Subsequently you only need to click the "Import" button and all files will be linked to the corresponding fibers.

The OTDR-files may be opened from the "Maintaining terminated fibers" screen, using the clip1367 (most recent file) or clip1368 (all files) buttons.
