AP area

When a FTTH project is started, you will first have to define an AP (POP) Area in the geography of Cocon. In toolbar there is a button under 'New' called "Draw Cablework" ( clip0581 ), which allows you to draw a cablework around an AP area.

When a cablework is entered in the geography, a non-geographical screen "input/edit/remove cablework" is opened. This screen needs to be processed, same as a standerd project. Ensure the option "Type" is set to "FTTH design"

DP area

After an AP area (cablework) is made, the DP area must be inserted. This has to be engineered by the user. Select the "Add DP area"  (clip0621) in the FTTH toolbar. When this button is selected the DP area can be drawn in the geography.
The name of the DP area will be determined by Cocon, but can be changed afterward's. The number of buildings enclosed will be shown in the map. ( This can also be changed afterward's. )

Add address point

Should the situation occur where there isnt an ACN point preset at the determined location, then this can be added. By first selecting the button "add address point" (clip0637) the right place in the geography can be selected.

Add Access point

After one or more DP area's are added, and possibly adding address points within a DP area, the accesspoints can be placed. First one or more DP areas must be selected. After they are selected you can select the "add Accesspoints" button (clip0571)

FTTH design

After DP areas and access points are placed the FTTH design can be started.

This can be done in 3 ways:

1. Select the DP area. The selected DP area will now appear in the objectlist. By clicking the DP area with the right mouse button, the context menu will appear with the option to select "FTTH design".  When selected, Cocon will automatically create a design for this DP area.

2. Another possibility is for the user to for drawn the Main routes, and generate all drops around it.

3. Last option is importing an CAD drawing, with Main routes. Cocon will use these and generate the drops around it.

Edit

DP gebied

To change the shape of a DP area, choose the "Edit DP-area" (clip0621) in the Edit section, under the FTTH tab of the toolbar. Now the DP area that must be edited can be selected and adjusted using the default Cocon functionality for editing contours.
After the DP area is edited the changes must be saved.

warning

In Cocon a lot of fields allow for searching with a wildcard. All objects meeting the (partially) inserted string, when any are found, will be shown.

A wildcard can be inserted at the start or end of a string, by using the "|"(pipe)-symbol.
