<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Other screens > Geographical > Enter ducts |
This screen displays the ducts in a duct route.
The screen is called up from the geographical screen, by choosing at a duct route for Details or Change. It is also called up after a new duct route has been created.
In the bottom part of the screen you enter the ducts in the duct route.
You add a new duct with the 'Add' button or with the Insert key. You remove the selected duct with the 'Remove' button or the Delete key.
For each duct you may enter a number of data. The name of the cable running through the duct may be entered in the cable name column.
If you click this field a list will be opened listing all cables which might be running through the duct. This is determined on the basis of the position of the cables in relations to the duct.
The extent to which the position corresponds with the duct is expressed in a percentage. A percentage of 100% indicates the position corresponds exactly with the duct.
In this manner you are able to quickly enter the correct cable in the correct duct.
The following actions may be taken from this screen:
Add a new duct. |
Add a new duct with the same duct name as the last inserted duct. |
Remove the selected duct. |
Save changes without leaving the screen. |
The 'Contents duct route equals previous duct route' button serves to copy the ducts in the last entered duct route to this duct route. Because ducts often run through several locations, this way you may enter quickly a duct route with ducts through several locations. When the change screen is open you will find the option 'Link cable to the same duct on the complete route' at the button of your screen. By checking this box the cable can be placed at any position (if possible) in the selected duct.
Fill the selected duct with a template
By checking the box the cable is inserted in the selected (sub)duct, all along the ductroute whenever the ductname matches. |
By checking the box all previous relations are removed before inserting a cable to a (sub)duct. |
All available cables are linked to a duct, in the selected order: Length ascending/descending, address ascending/descending |
The pending changes are saved and if successful the screen is closed. |
The pending changes are canceled and the screen is closed. |
The following actions may be taken from this screen:
Show the Ductconnection screen. |
Show the entire connection in the geografie. |
Show a schematic overview in Excel. |
Measure the length of the selected duct route in the geography. |
Show the history of the ducts in this duct route. |
Show the historical location of this duct route. |
Export data to Excel. |
Refresh the map. |
If you work in this manner the cables in the ducts will be copied to the new duct route as well. You need to take note that - if necessary - the names of the cables will change. |
