Enter line object

Through this function you may enter a duct route, a cable, a drilling, or a combination of a duct route and a cable.

In the screen you indicate to which cable work the input is related , the date on which the input factually took place, and which installation company performed the input. Standard you will find here the data you used the last time.

The screen mentions the starting point and the endpoint of the duct route , the cable or the drilling.

clip1165 Input duct route

In case of a new duct route Cocon generates the duct route id. You may enter the status of the duct route yourself. You may also indicate that the duct route is meant for copper cables such as two-ply cables or coax-cables.

As soon as you have entered the data and clicked the "OK" button the "Report ducts" screen appears allowing you to enter one or more ducts.

It is possible to capture the precision of the route. This means that there will be captured how accurate the objects are drawn. With the specified size is in meters the maximum deviation indicated.

clip1164 Input cable

In case of a new cable you enter the name of the cable. You may choose from a list of cable names which have been selected for this project through the label request screen or you enter a new cablename. You may also determine a unique name of the cable with the Afbeeldingen_bepaalnaam1 button. The name will start with the character entered in the field next to the button.

See the Input duct route and Input cable above.

clip1167 Input guided drilling

In case of a new guided drilling you enter the name of the drilling. It is standard practice that in this field the letters 'GB' are entered followed by a serial number. You may overwrite this standard value.

The moment a line object is saved Cocon clears it. A number of points almost exactly on one line, will be replaced by two points. Points very closely situated to one another will be replaced by one point. This way of cleaning leads to a smaller sized database and to swifter access to the geographical objects.

While entering a duct and cable at the same time it is possible to add a status to the objects.
Cocon will recognize when these statuses are different from each other and will ask is this is the intended action.

It is also possible to insert a drilling type like a 'galleria'. The service desk from Speer IT can insert different values in the database. These objects can be shown in a specific width in the map by indicating a diameter.

These 'special drillings can only be insert in status 1. It is not possible to reserve them for removal.
