Building

Most data will have been entered when it concerns a new building.If so desired you may copy these. Furthermore, you need to enter the name of the building and the address where the building is located.Cocon automatically enters the nearest street, town, and zipcode. A number of close-by streets will be displayed as well. You may select one of these streets and zipcodes or enter a street or zipcode yourself. You also need to enter a house number in order to complete the address.

Should Cocon have files with street/house number information related to your situation it will give the nearest house number as well. In that case you will be able to browse through the other nearby streets/house numbers with the and buttons and to choose the correct one.

You may determine a unique name of the point object with the button. The name will start with the characters entered in the field next to the button.

Should the new building also contain a frame, you may add the data of this frame directly. Later on, you may always draw a separate frame through the "Enter frame" screen.

It is possible to capture the precision of the building. This means that there will be captured how accurate the objects are drawn. With the specified size is in meters the maximum deviation indicated.

Frame

In case of a new frame you need to enter the name and the type of this frame. The name must conform to the conventions as indicated in the type of frame. By clicking the "Size" button all available types of frames will be displayed.

You will also need to enter the rack type here. The space, floor and drawing number for this frame can also be registered.

While entering a building and a frame at the same time it is possible to add a status to the objects.
Cocon will recognize when these statuses are different from each other and will ask is this is the intended action.

Change frame location

This function becomes available by selecting a frame in the geography and choosing "Change frame location" in the list of objects using the right mouse-button.

Firstly, a frame needs to be transferred to the correct building and saved.

If you now select the frame and you choose "Change frame location" this function will be activated.

You are now able to select the correct building. The name of the building will be connected to the frame.

Available services

With this function it's possible to select a combination of services and band width which are entered in the base tables.
Because bandwidth and services can be selected they can be taken in the automatic route tool.

When the name for a building or accespoint is changed, the linked directory will also change automatically.
